It was so lovely to work on this album over the past few weeks. Unmasked memories of a summer past. Lucas & I hanging out and eating a tonne of ice cream. Favourite places revisited. Half the fun of scrapbooking is reliving those moments.
TRIP DETAILS
Lucas & I stayed in an Air BnB in Medicine Hat, Alberta for four days around Canada Day 2019. He had requested a “city” trip this year instead of camping. The weather was hot and lovely, so we explored town on our bicycles, and ventured out on some mini road trips (Cypress Hills, Red Rock). We also hung out a mall, ate a lot of ice cream, and just generally relaxed. After our time in Medicine Hat, we drove up to Drumhellar to meet Dan. While there, we hit up the usual tourist traps – Royal Tyrell Museum, Star Mine Suspension Bridge, the hoodoos, and Atlas Coal Mine – and ended the week with a dinner at Rosedale Hall for a shooting event Dan was attending. I am hoping that we can restart our summer trip tradition this summer.
