Welcome to Side Quests, where the journey is as exhilarating as the destination, and where every moment is an opportunity to learn more about your city and make a new pal. These aren’t your typical touristy tours – Lisa will guide you to see the city with new eyes, and deepen your connection to these places…and help you gain some confidence in planning your own Side Quests via active transportation! Introverts welcome!
Mural Adventure in Ritchie
Navigating Ritchie’s streets and alleyways, Lisa will take you on a chill, walking adventure to find some fun murals before finishing off with a snack at a local watering hole. Bring your walking shoes, your camera, and a thirst for knowledge! Be prepared to learn more about this community, and gain comfort in exploring your city by foot!
Legislature Gardens
CANCELLED. The beauty of the gardens at the Alberta Legislature are a wonder to behold every summer. Slowly exploring the vibrant gardens, we will learn together the history of the legislature grounds, brainstorm ways we can get involved in politics beyond elections, and share a small picnic before hopping on the train home. See you on Tuesday, August 20!
Taste of Edmonton
The hustle and bustle of downtown Edmonton in the summer comes to a crescendo at the Taste of Edmonton Festival. Be prepared to sample new cuisines, people watch, and practice taking the train!
