Live and in person!
NEXT CRAFTERNOON: September 28, 2025
1:00pm to 4:00pm
Crafternoon is an opportunity to hang out with likeminded crafters and work on your projects, maybe get some tips, and definitely get inspired!
Ritchie Community League and Not Ladylike Community present Crafternoon! Bring your favourite craft supplies or a project on the go. We’ll set you up at a table, and you can craft the afternoon away! There will be snacks, and friends new and old. Admission is “pay what you can”, and is open to members and non-members of Ritchie. Pre-registering guarantees you a friendly reminder email two days out, but is otherwise no obligation. Things come up, we get it!
Crafternoon is a low barrier way to spend some time creating for you, in a friendly and safe environment, with rad folks who also love crafting.
Crafternoon is such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. It beautifully mixes the productivity of creating something while offering natural topics of conversation to meet new people and make lasting friendships.

WHAT TO BRING
- A mask; these are required in the crafting space to help keep us all safe
- Your own supplies or project to work on. We do not provide materials or instruction.
- Arts and crafts supplies for our Swap Table! You are welcome to take items from the table, even if you didn’t bring any. Anything leftover at the end of the day will be donated to the Reuse Centre or a local non-profit. Please no garbage.
- We are an environmentally minded group (and Community League), so we ask that you bring your own refillable water bottle or cup.
- Cash or card, “pay what you can” admission is payable by either at the door (minimum $5).
WHO IS THIS FOR?
- Any and all type of crafts and crafters.
- Crafters who struggle with setting aside time at home to work on their projects.
- Folks who are looking for a craft community, or who just want to meet new people.
- Folks who value safe and accessible spaces for all crafters.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
- Each attendee will have access to their own table; it is approximately 3 feet square with legs in the corners.
- We have a few options for chairs: the standard plastic folding chair, and a few upholstered ones that are more stable and have a wider seat.
- Snacks and beverages are provided at no cost to you, including coffee, tea, and sparkling water.
We ask you to kindly pre-register so we can set up the hall appropriately and bring enough snacks. There is no obligation, and you won’t be asked to pay until you arrive. This also guarantees a friendly email reminder 2 days in advance!
I was a little anxious about being in a room with so many people I’d never met before after checking out some of the pictures from previous gatherings on line. Everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves however and I’m really happy to that I did go. ☺️
