If this page is active, Earth Month must be coming up. Time for some Trash Walks!
We celebrate Earth Month around here in a few ways, but Trash Walks are closely aligned with our priorities of:
- getting outside
- climate justice
- building community

HOW THIS WORKS
We meet at a location around Edmonton once per week. Garbage bags are provided, and we always have some “grabbers” to share.
Introductions happen, then we all split off to wander in the direction – and at the pace – of our personal choice. We pick up garbage for one hour. If you need more bags or assistance during this time, please find Lisa out there. We have a sharps container, but please leave any trash that looks unsafe, or must be disposed of at an Eco Station.
Please check out the dates and Google Map pin drops for our meeting location. We start at 6:30pm and walk for approximately one hour, then head over to a local spot for snacks and more chatting.
Upcoming Trash Walks:
- Wednesday, April 5 at Menisa School. Snacks at 7-Eleven (eat in).
- Wednesday, April 12 at Ritchie Community League. Dessert at Kind Ice Cream.
- Friday, April 21 at Kameyosek School. Warm up at Tim Hortons.
- Wednesday April 26 at McKernan Community League. Pizza and drinks at Campus Pizza!
If you prefer to have this information in a PDF, please access a summary document here, which includes a breakdown of the schedule for the evening. It does not include the list of locations and pin drops, so you will need to access this website for that information.
