Workshop Description:
Collage and Vision Board Workshop
Let’s explore the vibe we want for 2024 and create a Vision Board using a variety of basic collage techniques.
Lisa and Rachel will walk you through a short intention setting exercise before teaching you some composition tips and our favourite collage techniques. You don’t need to have any experience in goal setting or collage.
We will have lots of time to cut out fun images from magazines and books, and use them to create a beautiful Vision Board to inspire you throughout the year.

Sunday, February 18 from 2-4pm
Cost: $10
Covers all of your supplies, and ensures the sustainability of future events! If cost is a barrier to you, please contact us.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Rachel has a unique eye for collage, and they are excited to help you develop yours.
Lisa has been teaching mixed media crafting for over 10 years, and loves it best when her students break out of their comfort zone!
ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility is important to us at Not Ladylike, but we are still working on how to communicate that. If anything is unclear below, or you have other questions, please contact us.
- Ritchie Hall is accessible with a caveat. The powered door is broken and there is a slight lip to the door frame. The vestibule is tight for turning.
- There are wheelchair accessible, but not barrier free, gendered bathrooms.
- The plastic folding tables are 6 feet by 3 feet long, with the legs at the ends.
- Free parking in the adjacent lot, public transit 1 to 2 blocks away, bike racks on site.
- Masks are optional, but our instructors will be wearing ours and we will have some available if you forgot yours at home.
- Please stay home if you are feeling sick, or have any symptoms of illness.

WHAT IS COLLAGE?
Collage is a piece of art made by sticking various different materials such as photographs, images cut out from magazines or books, and pieces of paper or fabric on to a backing. Collage can also have words or letters included. A collage artist combines various visual elements to create a new image that conveys a message or idea.
WHAT IS A VISION BOARD?
A vision board is filled with images, words, and symbols that inspire and motivate you. It is a great tool to help solidify your values, and motivate you to achieve your goals. A vision board can also help you develop a “vibe” for yourself or a specified period of time, and is often used in “New Year’s Resolutions”, affirmations, or Five Year Plans. For this workshop, we will be focused on creating a vision board that is specific to our goals, dreams, and vibes for 2024.
